I am obtaining the book, "Camp White: City in the Agate Desert" and I am in hopes that it will help. I am seeking information on a dynamite training accident which occurred at Camp White on March 1, 1944 in which 7 soldiers were killed including my uncle, Herbert G. Crumpton. His unit was HQ. Co. 3rd Bn. 381 Infantry which I believe was stationed out of Ft. Lewis, Wash. His hometown was Longview, Texas. The only information ever given the family was that he died "in a dynamite training accident". No other details were disclosed. Any information or research resource anyone can contribute is appreciated.Andy Frankshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17419227811828348119noreply@blogger.com
